Writing & Communication

Writing for the Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada

Since the beginning of 2025, I have been a columnist writing about anything and everything radio astronomy. You can find all the back issues on the RASC website. Some highlights:
Radio Astronomers Strike a CHORD With New Telescope
Is There Anybody Out There?
Radio Pollution in the Satellite Constellation Era

European Southern Observatory Internship

I researched and wrote press releases, image captions, video scripts, announcements, and blog posts, among other intern tasks. I celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science in a blog post and video, highlighting women across multiple disciplines at ESO.

Some highlights from ESO’s YouTube series, Chasing Starlight:
Are colours in astronomical images real?
How the Earth began
The largest telescope dome ever built

The Physics and Astronomy Mentor Talks

The Physics and Astronomy Mentor talks disrupt the gender imbalance in STEM by highlighting researchers from traditionally underrepresented communities. Produced by a team of undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows, these talks encourage diversity in physics and astronomy by increasing representation and changing the stereotypical portrayal of who a scientist can be.
